Port Kamish-Burun – is ice-free, with around-the-clock work-regime. Moreover port has its own station and locomotive shed with its park of manoeuvrable engines.

Today it is planed to build the powerful specialized cement-pass terminal in port Kamish-Burun. Thereby the German company «IBAU» realizes project of port reconstruction. This project provides for assembling of 3 port and one roadstead ship-unloaders, which will be set up on pontoon and are intended for processing of ships in the roads, 6 silages with the 90-120 thousand tons accumulation capacity, special equipment for loading and reloading of waggons. Also it is planed to build the ferry boat trajection.

After the bottom-deeping works the deepness near the port wharves will reach the project ones and make up 8,2 m. Herein the bulk of soil, which has to be chosen in water area and threekilometres sea-gate, will be 1 million of cubes.

After the reconstruction the capacity of port will be 3 million of tons annually. It is planed to open port in the next year. Port will be oriented both import and export of cement, that in future will make Kamish-Burun the cement gates of Ukraine.
